6-Week Wed. Hand-building w/Cathleen

Service Description

Treasure Coast Pottery offers an exciting six-week hand-building class with owner Cathleen Sullivan. Allow me to guide you through creative hand-building classes loaded with tips, tricks and techniques amassed from over 20 years creating with this malleable medium. We begin with the pinch pot to horizontal to vertical and then some pretty awesome projects. All along the way, I will talk and teach you whatever comes up and whatever you want to learn. The first three projects are fun, skill building exercises. We learn to use this medium, and the hope is students come away with the ability to build anything they want to make. Allow me to give you the skills to succeed, and your creativity to flow and discover what you can achieve in the world of pottery! Registrants receive 3 hours of weekly instruction and 3 hours of Open Studio per week. That's 18 hours of instruction and 18 hours of additional Open Studio time! Open Studio is Mondays, 12-3 PM. Clay must be purchased from the studio and includes glazes and 2 firings for pieces measuring up to 12 inches. Tools and a plethora of hand-building supplies, textures, etc., are available for student use. Cancellation Policy TCP reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes in order to adjust for enrollment. There are a minimum number of students needed to run a class. If we must cancel due to insufficient enrollment, all registered participants will receive a refund, or the class will be postponed. We do not have classes during holiday weeks such as Labor Day weekend; we are closed the entire week.
