Service Description

No prior experience required | Ages 7–17 Join artist and instructor Cathleen Sullivan & Gabriela Ramos in a welcoming, hands-on pottery class designed specifically for homeschool students with no previous clay experience. Students will explore the fundamentals of clay through fun, structured projects in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Class Details: -- Format: 1 hour & 45 minutes of guided sessions and 15 minutes for cleanup -- Projects: Students will create three different fun projects, beginning with holiday ornaments or trays, moving then to coiled pots and a final project to be determined. After the Thanksgiving break, students return for a glaze session to finish their creations. Treasure Coast Pottery and instructor Cathleen Sullivan is certified to teach through Florida’s Step Up for Students program. Payment of service is to be booked directly with Treasure Coast Pottery. An invoice with all required reimbursement details will be provided to each student on the first day of class. $25 deposit required to hold your spot and balance of $175 first day of class. Please come in a few minutes early on the first day for a studio tour and review of class structure. -- Parents may enroll and participate in the class alongside their child (tuition applies to both). -- Parents may also drop off students or wait in the front-end gallery. -- Please refrain from entering the working studio space during class, as other students or members may be working. Special Needs Policy: Cathleen has experience working with special needs students but is not certified in that area. All children are welcome; however, if your child has behavioral or learning challenges that impacts instruction, a parent/guardian must assist/shadow the student. We wish to ensure every child receives the attention and support they need to learn and thrive creatively. Registrants will be notified when finished work is ready for pickup via email/text.
