Service Description

Ages 8–17 | No Experience Needed. Please secure your child's seat by paying the online deposit of $25 and the rest of payment pf $200 in person by check/credit card/Zelle on the first day of class. Join artists and instructors Cathleen and/or Gabriela for a fun, hands-on pottery experience created especially for homeschool students. In our welcoming and supportive studio, students will explore hand-building techniques while creating three unique pottery projects. Along the way, they’ll learn the fundamentals of working with clay and discover how pottery has connected people and cultures throughout history. Class Format Four guided sessions, each lasting approximately 1½ to 2 hours One unique hand-built pottery project during each of the first three weeks A one-week break while the projects dry and receive their first kiln firing A final glazing session during Week 5, when students add color and finish their creations A snack is included during each class Parents may drop off their children or wait in the gallery during class. Please let us know in advance about any food allergies. Treasure Coast Pottery is an approved Step Up for Students provider for ceramics and painting. As a small independent studio, we are unable to wait for direct Step Up reimbursement. Parents must pay the studio at registration and then submit their receipt for reimbursement. An itemized invoice will be provided on the first day of class. Special Needs Policy While Owner Cathleen is experienced working with students with special needs, we are not special needs certified. All children are welcome. If your child requires additional assistance or supervision, a parent or guardian must remain in the gallery or shadow the student during class to help ensure a positive and successful experience for everyone.
