Service Description
Treasure Coast Pottery is offering Summer Passport Campers the opportunity to come into the studio and create for two hours. The Summer Passport Program is made possible through the St. Lucie County Children's Services Council and facilitated by the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce. Treasure Coast Pottery is happy to accommodate 12 students per two-hour session for campers ages 10 and up. Campers must come in 3 weeks before camp ends so studio staff has time for their work to make it through two kiln firings and then delivered to the camps. Students will spend two hours creating their build. One camp counselor must be present. TCP's instructors are college educated artists, have degrees in education and art and/or art therapy. Read more about our instructors here: https://www.treasurecoastpottery.com/about TCP is happy to go into camper facilities for those with special needs. We are not certified to teach special needs, however, if you have your staff in place during the immersive clay experience, we are happy to come in and work with the children. Our hope is that campers allow us to nurture their creative side, introduce them to this malleable medium, and make creative memories! Who knows, we may spark a chord, and a new ceramic artist will be born!
