Youth Welcome. Very Popular Class! Foundation to Horizontal Hand-building class begins with a tray, dish or platter with texture and feet utilizing hump molds. We get to add some appliques to these trays! Students learn proper use of the slab roller, and the basics to create pieces. We emphasize best practices utilizing different tools, vocabulary and how to apply it to clay. This class is a works on the horizontal form and then moves students into a natural flow creating vertical forms such as mugs and vases, a progression of learning skills to successfully create beautiful vessels. Students select their glaze choice, and their pieces will be glazed by studio staff. Students return in approximately 3 weeks to pick up their finished artwork. Clay, glaze and firing included. Class requires a minimum to run and will be rescheduled due to low enrollment. Please note that sometimes pieces crack in the kiln, but we make every effort for successful outcomes for all your work.
