Homeschooler Hand-building Class

Service Description

Ages 8–17 | No Experience Needed Join artists and instructors Cathleen and/or Larkyn for a fun, hands-on pottery experience created especially for homeschool students. In our welcoming and supportive studio, students will explore handbuilding techniques while creating three unique pottery projects. Along the way, students will learn the fundamentals of working with clay while developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence in the studio. Class Format 3 two-hour instructional handbuilding sessions — 6 hours total 1 unique pottery project created during each session 1 final glazing session included at no additional charge After the three handbuilding sessions, students will take a one-week break while their projects dry and receive their first kiln firing. Students will then return during Week 5 to glaze and complete their work. A snack is included after each class. Please advise us of any food allergies. Program Tuition: $270 Tuition includes 6 hours of instructor-led, hands-on pottery instruction, plus the final glazing session at no additional charge. Clay, glazes, bisque firing, and glaze firing are all included. Please review the Studio Policy for Homeschoolers for information regarding student drop-off and parent/guardian presence during class. Step Up For Students funding is accepted for this program. Families using Step Up funding should register directly through the EMA portal by selecting: Three (3) Homeschool Pottery Instruction sessions at $90 each 3 sessions × $90 = $270 total program tuition Once all three $90 sessions have been selected through your EMA account, your student’s registration for the Homeschool Handbuilding Program will be complete.
