Service Description

Ages 8–17 | No Experience Needed Join artists and instructors Cathleen and Gabriela for a fun, hands-on pottery experience created especially for homeschool students. In our welcoming and supportive studio, students will explore handbuilding techniques while creating three unique pottery projects. Along the way, they’ll learn the fundamentals of working with clay while developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence in the studio. Class Format Three 2-hour guided handbuilding sessions One unique pottery project created during each session A one-week break while projects dry and receive their first kiln firing A final glazing session during Week 5, included at no additional charge A snack is included after each class Program Tuition: $270 Tuition covers 6 hours of instructor-led pottery instruction at $45 per hour, plus the final glazing session at no additional charge. Parents may drop off their children or wait in the gallery during class. Please let us know in advance about any food allergies. Step Up For Students Families using Step Up funding may reserve this program through their EMA account. We are currently updating our provider services to include a 2-hour Homeschool Pottery Instruction option. Until that service is available in the portal, please email Treasure Coast Pottery with your student's name, age and interest in the class so I can fill it on a first come, first serve basis. We will send you the appropriate Step Up booking instructions once the service is available. Special Needs Policy: While Owner Cathleen is experienced working with students with special needs, Treasure Coast Pottery is not a special-needs-certified facility. All children are welcome. If your child requires additional assistance or supervision, a parent or guardian must remain in the gallery or shadow the student during class to help ensure a positive and successful experience for everyone.
