STUDIO POLICY

Treasure Coast Pottery Refund, Cancellation, Rescheduling & Homeschool Policy
Because our classes and workshops require advance preparation, materials, equipment, and instructor scheduling, the following policies apply to all registrations.
Payments & Processing Fees: A convenience/processing fee may apply to class and workshop purchases and will be clearly disclosed at checkout. Processing fees are non-refundable.
Membership purchases do not incur additional processing fees.
Multi-Week Classes & 6-Week Series: Full refunds may be requested more than 8 days before the first scheduled class, less any non-refundable processing fees. Registrations become non-refundable 8 days prior to the first scheduled class. No refunds are issued once a class series has begun. A purchased registration may be transferred to a friend or family member at no additional charge. When requested before the 8-day cancellation deadline, registration may also be transferred to a future session, subject to availability. Single-Day Classes & Workshops: This policy includes Try It Wheel classes and other single-session workshops. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class and are subject to availability. Cancellations or rescheduling requests received less than 48 hours before class are not eligible for a refund, credit, or transfer. Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Because these classes require dedicated instructor time, equipment, materials, and reserved studio space, we are unable to credit missed attendance.

Attendance & Missed Classes: Students are responsible for attending their scheduled classes. No refunds, credits, or make-up classes are provided for missed classes, including absences due to illness, travel, scheduling conflicts, or other personal circumstances. For multi-session classes and homeschool programs, an absence does not extend the program or entitle the student to an individual make-up session.
Weather, Emergencies & Studio-Initiated Changes: If TCP cancels a class due to severe weather, an unforeseen emergency, or another circumstance outside of our control, registered students will be offered a rescheduled class or a refund.
TCP reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes based on enrollment or studio needs. Classes may require a minimum number of students to run. If TCP cancels a class because minimum enrollment is not met, registered students will be notified and offered the option to transfer their registration or receive a refund.
Memberships: Memberships are non-refundable and are subject to approval by TCP ownership. Prospective members are encouraged to schedule a studio visit before purchasing a membership. Annual memberships must be purchased in person at the studio. Please refer to the Membership page for current membership information and studio hours.
Studio Rules: Additional fees may apply to pieces larger than 12 inches.Outside clay is not permitted.
Clay purchased from TCP includes bisque firing, glaze firing, and use of studio glazes.
TCP does not provide third firings.
Unclaimed Work: Students will be notified when finished work is ready for pickup. Work remaining at the studio more than 30 days after notification will be considered abandoned and may be removed or discarded due to limited storage space.
Homeschool Program Policies
TCP homeschool programs are structured, instructor-led classes. By registering, families agree to the following policies.

Step Up For Students: TCP accepts Step-Up For Students funding for approved homeschool programs. Families are responsible for completing registration through their EMA account according to the instructions in the individual class listing.
Class Participation: All students work on the same assigned project and are expected to follow instructor demonstrations, directions, and studio safety rules. Creativity is encouraged within the project, but students may not independently begin unrelated projects or disregard the lesson being taught. Students must be able to communicate sufficiently with the instructor to receive instruction.

Parents & Guardians: Parents may drop off their children unless otherwise stated. Parents who remain are asked to wait in the gallery and allow the TCP instructor to remain the student's primary teacher. If additional assistance or supervision is required, a parent or guardian may be required to remain with the student.
Pottery Wheel Readiness: Wheel classes require focus and the ability to follow step-by-step instruction. Enrollment is subject to instructor approval, and completion of a handbuilding class does not automatically guarantee eligibility. Students must demonstrate that they can follow directions, communicate with the instructor, work safely, and participate appropriately in a structured class.

Special Needs & Additional Support: TCP welcomes students of varying abilities and learning styles but is not a special-needs-certified facility and does not provide one-on-one aides or therapeutic services. Students must be able to participate in a manner that allows the instructor to teach the lesson and maintains a positive learning environment for the entire class. A parent or guardian may be required to remain when additional support is needed.

Project Content: All students complete the same class project. If a project is not appropriate for a family for religious, cultural, or personal reasons, please contact TCP in advance and an alternate project selected by the instructor.
Attendance: Missed homeschool classes are not eligible for make-ups, credits, or rescheduling. Please review our Cancellation & Refund Policy before registering.

Studio Discretion: TCP reserves the right to determine whether a program is an appropriate fit for a student and may recommend another program or decline future enrollment when a student is unable to follow instruction, work safely, or participate successfully within the class structure.

Registration for a TCP class, workshop, or program constitutes acceptance of this Policy.
