Service Description

Three-Session Hand-Building Experience Sculptural Shell Vessel Workshop With Ceramic Artist Gabriela Ramos Create a one-of-a-kind sculptural vessel inspired by the flowing forms, spirals and textures of seashells. In the first session, Gabriela will guide students through constructing the vessel using the slab-building method. Students will create a custom template for their vessel before building and refining its form. The surface will then be transformed through carved textures, layered clay elements, and decorative appliqué. Students may incorporate spirals, ridges, starfish, pearls, and other ocean-inspired details to make each piece entirely their own. During the final session, students will complete and refine their surface decoration, add a sculptural handle, and possibly apply underglaze to enhance the vessel’s details. Students will select their glaze choice, and their vessels will be glazed by staff. Please review the Cancellation Policy on the website prior to registering.
