Service Description

This class is for the Homeschool student WITH PRIOR EXPERIENCE working at TCP only. Any questions, please call. We are excited to create a 3-week project--a totem pole. Students will get an assignment to brainstorm at home and design their totems in a creative way. For example, like Harry Potter, that can be your theme. It can be animals, pets, sports, anything the students envisions, and they will be guided through every step of the way with Artist & Instructor Cathleen Sullivan in a relaxed learning environment. Cathleen and the studio are Step Up Certified to teach Homeschoolers. Place your deposit through our website and then pay in person the balance. We provide you with an invoice with all the pertinent information needed for reimbursement. Parents are welcome to attend the class with their child for the same tuition. Parents are welcome to drop off their child(ren) or remain in the front-end gallery only. Kindly refrain from roaming the studio as members are working or other classes are being taught. While experienced working with special needs children, I am not certified special ed instructor. All children are welcome. If your child has behavioral issues or anything that may interfere with my teaching or their learning, a parent/guardian must remain to shadow the child. My priority is to ensure every student gets the attention they deserve, learn the skills needed to create and then enjoy creative freedom. Students are guided through the totem project during the first 3 classes, and they are off to allow for work to come through the kiln and then they return to glaze all projects created the first 3 weeks. Then they will come back for a brief class with their parents and learn how to assemble their masterpieces. Nominal materials fee will be collected for the glue and totem pole needed to erect the totems and return dates will be discussed.
