Form, Function & Design Workshop with Master Potter Jim Gorman Take your pottery to the next level in this Master Workshop Series designed for intermediate and advanced wheel throwers. Join Master Potter Jim Gorman, who brings more than 45 years of studio, production, and teaching experience, as he explores the relationship between form, function, and thoughtful design. Through demonstrations, discussion, and hands-on instruction, Jim will share the design principles that elevate functional pottery. Students will receive individualized guidance and constructive feedback to strengthen both their technical skills and artistic vision. Workshop Schedule Sunday: 4-hour intensive workshop Wednesday: 2-hour Guided Trimming & Finishing Session (6:00–8:00 PM or 2:00–4:00 PM, based on class consensus) Final Session: 2-hour Open Studio Glazing Session after all work has been bisque fired during studio hours Monday-Thursday 12-2 or Thursday 6-8 pm. Students book their time slot with Cathleen to return and glaze with our dipping glazes. Tuition Includes: 8 hours at the studio 6 hours of expert instruction with Master Potter Jim Gorman 2-hour open studio glazing session 25 lb. bag of clay Bisque and glaze firings Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable centering and throwing independently.
