Youth Welcome! Very Popular Class! Create a regular or soup mug! Foundation to Vertical forms for hand-builders. Come in and create a beautiful seaside themed mug with our new and talented instructor, Gabriela. View more of her creations below! You will be introduced to using appliques on your seaside inspired mug from seahorses to starfish to shells or perhaps something a little different like a dragonfly? Whatever you choose, you will come away with your very own creative work. Students learn how to use the slab roller, apply handles, appliqués or texture and the basics to create pieces in the cylindrical form. We emphasize best practices utilizing different tools, vocabulary and how to apply it to clay. Students who have created a horizontal form such as the foundational tray/dish class are welcome to come and create vertical forms such as this perfect mug class! Youth ages 10 and up welcome with a paid adult! Students select their glaze choice, and their pieces will be glazed by studio staff. Students return in approximately 3-4 weeks to pick up their finished artwork. Clay, glaze and firing included. Class requires a minimum number of participants to run.
